COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

November 1 when paying my rent I advised the manager there is a pest problem in my kitchen, brown and black bugs crawling around on the counters. Two weeks later I confronted her again after pest control was not called out and she said they will only come out at the end of the month around November 30. Due to them waiting so long to treat the problem my coffee pot and microwave became infested. You can see the bugs in LED lights and crawling around in the microwave. The problem was still there mid December in which I had let her know and she supposedly could not get Orkin out again until the end of the month. It is now going into the 2nd week of January and the problem is worse then ever. With the noise issues, they do not take their tenants seriously or give any respect. I have had neighbors on the side and above that are constantly blaring music, partying and making a ridiculous amount of banging and stomping noises at all hours of the day. I was advised my the manager to call the courtesy officer when such problems arise so they may be documented. The courtesy officer shows up, they are quiet for about 10 minutes and whatever they are doing starts back up. They do not provide any kind of punishment for constant disturbances.

Orkin confirmed that Danielle Heierbacher’s apartment #14D had no signs or evidence of an infestation on 11/27/13. We were contacted by Danielle Heierbacher 12/10/13 that she was still having a pest problem. I offered to set up an appointment with our Orkin technician so she could speak with him directly. We scheduled an appointment for 12/17/13 at 1:00pm, which was canceled on 12/16/13 by Danielle Heierbacher. The soonest Orkin could come back to our community for service was for our schedule service date on 12/30/13. We had our maintenance supervisor go to Danielle Heierbacher’s apartment #14D on 12/20/13 to do in house pest control. Our maintenance supervisor confirmed as well he saw no signs or evidence of any pest infestation. 12/30/13: Orkin came for preventive pest control for buildings #01-#07 and #14D Danielle Heierbacher. After the service, the technician from Orkin confirmed no signs or evidence of a bug infestation in the apartment. For noise complaints, we have steps and procedures we have to follow.
