I moved into apartment #812 on 2/17/23, and ever since my first day living here, I’ve suffered from the continuous low-frequency appliance malfunctioning noise starting at 10 or 11 p.m. until the next morning every single night, and I can\'t sleep. I can feel the wall, my bed, and even myself shaking. I\'ve asked for maintenance four or five times, but they\'ve done nothing. I walked in to the office on the 15th and asked about this issue again, and the officer told me that they found nothing wrong with the machines on the roof and they could do nothing to help me. I was offered two options: the first is to move out of the building, and the second is to pay more rent to get into a different unit. The rent has increased a lot since I moved in, and I found that it doesn\'t make any sense to make me responsible for the apartment\'s problems. I am not trying to go rouge to get into a better unit because I just finished furnishing my unit, which took a lot of energy. I was sent to the hospital emergency room yesterday because I have been experiencing dizziness, headaches, and tinnitus for some time, along with neurasthenia and insomnia. I even started to scratch my body with my fingernails yesterday. I talked with a psychiatrist, and she diagnosed me with severe anxiety. I just want to live in a quiet place because I pay almost $3000 a month here, but it does not present as how a luxury unit should be.
