I’m reaching out to hopefully find some assistance in obtaining due justice as a tenant. As of June 2021 I had entered into a lease with My House Property Services in Fort Collins. When it was time to renew my lease I didn’t hesitate as I’ve not had any negative issues thus far. At the end of the first lease, my last payment would be June 2022, the company sold to Evernest Property Management around this time. As per usual, I paid my June 2022 balance early on May 17,2022 which posted to my My House Property ledger. On June 1st, 2022 I recieved an email notification I was to pay June 2022 balance again which should have been an error. Since I was not able to speak to someone before the late fee was due to post, I paid the balance again. A few days later I was able to contact someone over the phone who indicated to me both payments were showing and my July balance would include the second payment for $989.63. July rolls around and I’m charged the full amount without any indication all payments were applied as I was told. I have been in email correspondence, as they refuse to do business over the phone, with a woman named Alejandra Blanchar. She provided me with my full ledger with My House Property Services that clearly shows I was charged and made a payment towards June 2022. I also have my ledger with Evernest that also shows a second charge and payment towards June 2022. Once I noticed the error I brought it to Alejandra’s attention. She claims the activity on My House Property ledger is “not to be considered”. I don’t understand how it is legal for this company to disregard the activity prior to their takeover of the company. I’m reaching out in hopes to find a resolution to the matter as this company is attempting to steal my money by not removing the second June charge. I have evidence of my correspondence with Alejandra if that would be helpful. Thank you for your time, Cassandra Sewald
