COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
Tenant above me has continually kicked walls, pickup and drop furniture, drops metal objects, stumps loudly, and drag furniture across the floor all times of the night. When I brought it to managements attention, I am told to report it to the courtesy officer. Every since I’ve reported it to the courtesy officer, it’s been an everyday thing, repeating itself. I have made up to five reports to the courtesy officer, and emailing management. The tenant is staring down my company, and has even thrown an object at my bedroom window. I truly feel threatened by continuing being made to stay here at the property. Due to covid and employment slow down, I do not have the extra monies to buyout lease to leave the property. On 27th of August, the manager made contact with me after I contact their cooperate offering me a 3rd floor unit knowing I’m am disabled. They have no elevator here at this property in order for me to access the 3rd floor. I was also told I would have to sign a new lease binding me for an additional sum of 12 months if they waved the $300 transfer fee. Due to HIPAA and FERPA laws, I do not feel obligated to leave any documentation in their office files. They do have my identification on a stored document that indicates me being disabled. I was also told after stating I could not walk the stairs to make it to the 3rd floor, that he(management) didn’t want to place me on the 2nd floor because people would still be above me and I wouldn’t be happy. This isn’t about trying to make a happy situation, it’s about trying to Correa hazardous one becoming.
