COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I am writing to complaint about the unfair SCIO policy when it comes to move-out charges. Back in July 2018, we stayed in the same building but in apartment 101. There was sewage back up in that apartment because of someone else\'s fault and the sewage spread all over our carpet. At that point we requested the management to change the carpet and they said their policy is to first clean the carpet, if that doesn\'t work, then do a second round of cleaning and if that fails then change the carpet. At last we requested that we should be moved to a different apartment because we can never get sleep in an apartment where carpet was soaked with feaces for more than 24 hrs. They refused to call it carpet damage then but agreed to move us out. We were then moved in apt 103, where we stayed for only 6 months. We left a coffee stain in one room which we agree is our mistake and we should be charged for cleaning services. But instead they now charged us 1600$. That is just not fair. We are also charged 600$ for stove top and more 293$ for blinds. All together they are charging us 2763$ for just 6 months of stay. We think the charges are unfair.
