COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

On Friday, July 20th - I reached out to the landlord in regards to bed bug bites I had received in my apartment. I had asked to have my apartment treated and the landlord hired the general building exterminator to treat the apartment within the next day or two. However, this did not effectively rid the apartment of bed bugs. Since this date, I have reached out to Eric Levin and his team 6-7 times that this issue is still not resolved. The general building exterminator has come 3 times, with his last treatment in on 8/22. The landlord only sends a general exterminator whenever I complain, and does not follow the highly recommended schedule of several treatments (nor are heat treatments provided). Even when I do complain, I am met with responses along the lines of \"The exterminator will come in a week or two\" or \"After this treatment, we will not be treating you for 30 days\", which, only fosters a bigger infestation due to the bed bug life cycle. The exterminators only arrives when I complain multiple times, with the last treatment only happening because the exterminator was due for the monthly building inspection. Since 8/22 treatment, I have found out that multiple units in this building (the one above me and the one next to me) also have bed bugs. The tenants next to me recently moved out without letting the landlord know of their infestation. They threw out their furniture, which had gross evidence of a HUGE infestation, which is likely the source of the infestation into other apartments, including my own. I have emailed Eric Levin and team twice since the 8/22 treatment about this and both times have been completely ignored nor have they made any plans to re-treat my apartment. I\'ve been told that because the next door neighbors have moved out, the bed bugs will no longer be issue when in reality, bed bugs can live over a year without a blood meal. I have provided multiple images of the bed bugs I have caught. I have provided images of the infested furniture of the next-door tenant. I have provided detailed accounts of when I have been bitten, where, and the exact dates of when I found bed bugs. I had also thrown out furniture under the suggestion and recommendation of the building exterminator. However, I have been ignored for two weeks now - even after receiving a letter from my therapist about the triggering turmoil of my existing anxiety disorders. The landlord has become willfully negligent of the issue at had.
