Signed lease 4/9/17. Moved in may 1, 2017 I advised Bart Umentum, at this time, there were no screens, refridgerator, the lock was fixed but front door still didn\\\'t fit correctly, air conditioning didn\\\'t work, closet doors, or storm windows. These are things that were to fixed before i moved in. I turned on utilities 2 weeks on April 12 so workers to complete job. On June 2 I was still waiting for AC to be fixed and yet Bart wanted me to spy on my neighbor. He speaks to me with sighs and disgust. On July 10 someone came in my upstairs window and was scared off by my teenage son. I contacted Bart again about the windows/screens. Bart always wanted to talk on phone where he talked rude, degrading, and mean. Early July my bedroom floor flooded from drainage and guttering problems. Took a week for him to send someone. On July 27 I called to report my unit flooded again and Bart told me i could forfeit my deposit and he would let me out of my lease because I was \\\"too expensive\\\" I texted him back to say no he needed to fix water problem. The attached duplex was worse. Upon signing my lease I was told if i was going to be late I could pay via walmart money center. When I let him know in Aug I needed to pay at walmart, he said \\\"I don\\\'t except Walmart any longer..mail it, it should be here by 5th.\\\" I followed his instructions and when it arrived late, he texted to say i would have late fees.After i proved payment mailed on 1st. he waived it 1 time. In October my heat didn\\\'t work. It was 11-2-17 that my heat worked. My dishwasher pump went out. He responded with, \\\"he\\\'s not in the business of saving me money\\\" I told him people were squatting in unit attached to me and I needed my safety features like door, window and garage fixed. He never would answer. I told him mice were coming from abandoned unit. He said it was normal in cold weather. He sent people multiple times to look at my duplex without any warning. He told a couple aproximately on March 20 that they could enter through my garage I had left it unlocked. We discussed my 30 day notice and he told me April 30 was my last day. On April 2nd he sent another couple to look at the place with no warning and then called and left a belligerent voice mail stating I was supposed to be out. I corrected him by sending his own text message as well as a photo of our lease agreement. He began (as always) threatening me with litigation. He has told me this a thousand times. He probably will. |
