Mice droppings were found in my apartment kitchen, sink cabinet, counter top and stove top about 1 week of moving in (may 2014). The problem continued for a long time as the management tried to deal with the problem by putting sticky pads and closing holes. They also caught a couple of mice back then. But the mice are back in the same places as before and all the management is doing is putting sticky pads all over the place. The mice are clearly not entering the traps and still run around freely in the kitchen at night. It is not acceptable that management is unable to solve the issue for good. Mice carry germs and it is a big safety hazard for me as they are running around on the kitchen counter and stove tops where I cook!!
Not to mention I have been broken into once in this same apartment, which is altogether a different story. Overall, this management has been very callous about their outlook towards residents' conditions. I have suffered through a lot of frustration, depression and feeling of insecurity here. But the management always has excuses for their shortcomings. I find it unfair that when a resident does something wrong such as leave the trash out, he is immediately charged a fee. But when the management falls short of providing the resident with a safe and homely environment, why is it that they can get away with mere excuses? They are responsible for the suffering I have been put through time and again, and not provide me with a home which is pest-free, clean and safe.
