Because the house needs a new sewer line re-dug, I have spent so much money on the plumbing alone. in the warmer weather i had to buy rid x twice a mnth just so our toilet would flush. Now that its getting colder my toilet is slowly backing up into the house. Also there is no sealant where the toilet meets the floor so thats where the sewage and baby leeches are coming in. You can see the water shooting out the bottom when you plunge the toilet. The landlord also aknowledges all of these problems which is why she didnt want me to have the house inspected. Would your agency be able to point me in the direction of an inspection agency? our housing authority here in Point Pleasant only does inspections for HUD clients. Which my landlord has rite now. Thats how she pays her rent. I also know that she didnt inform them of the income she was making off me from this house either. She also gets a disability check every month as well. I had no such luck and i am a single parent. because of the leech bed in our main water line out to city sewage, there is a build up of 8-10 inches of standing water under the whole house. this is why we cant use the basement. Also my refrigerator is back there too because the house isnt grounded electrically. And we dont even have a stove or oven.

because of the leech bed in our main water line out to city sewage, there is a build up of 8-10 inches of standing water under the whole house. this is why we cant use the basement. Also my refrigerator is back there too because the house isnt grounded electrically. And we dont even have a stove or oven.

Because the main issues were ignored, they caused bigger problems such as the sliding foundation, the seams coming apart, and the constant water bugs and black mold. I have invested a lot of money to repair these fault myself until it was brought to my attention that the house shouldn't have even been rented. Every time I brought the problems to my Landlord's attention, she threatened to sell the house. I have 4 witnesses willing to sign a petition swearing to the condition of the house. One man is her former maintenance worker with first hand knowledge of Everything that needs to be done. So far she is in direct violation of 4 of the Landlord tenant laws for the state of West Virginia. She also moved from the residence because the house was making her physically sick and now rents a beautiful home that HUD pays for, while I am a struggling single parent. She blatantly took advantage of both my income / lack thereof and my position. I do have pictures available upon request. Thank you for your time and consideration. My rent is 350.00 a month. I have been renting from her since January of 2014. In addition to the problems stated above, the toilet is now backing up into the house. This living situation has become Severely unsanitary, And Mary also tried to bribe me with my deposit, stating that I could have it back only if i didn't have the house inspected.

She has paid no rent for several months. The house was inspected by the Point Pleasant city building inspectors and the health department just this month, and I received written notice that the house was non-condemnable. The inspectors told the tenant that she was responsible for the bug infestations since she has lived in the house for twelve months. I DO NOT receive any assistance from HUD, and haven't for some time. Also, I have three prospective buyers of the house and have asked the tenant to leave even before this complaint was filed because she refuses to pay rent. I am in the process of starting eviction proceedings. Not because of this complaint, but because I am going to sell the house. If she was unhappy with the house she should have left or paid the rent. A copy of the letter from the inspectors can be sent on request.
