I, Roxana Trickey, have vacated apartment 44B located at 555 Ovington Ave. Brooklyn 11209, on JULY 31st, 2014, due to a huge leak that was ruining the ceiling in my apartment and it has not been taken care of for 1 year. I broke the lease and used my deposit as last month rent.
I called numerous times the phone number (973) 887- 1470, to inform the office that I will vacate the apartment on July 31st, and no one answered the phone. Finally, after two weeks after I vacated the apartment, mid August, a lady picked up the phone and I informed her I no longer reside at that address, and that I used my security deposit as last month rent. She advised me to send an email, which I did, and no one ever replied.
On September 1st , I received a bill from 555 Ovington INC, stating that I have to pay the rent for the months of July, August, and September. Again I tried to call the office and no one is answering the phone again, and no voice-mail is setup for that number.
Yesterday on 9.30.2014 I got one more bill summing up to $5,312.76. for the months of July, August, Sept, and October. Their phone numbers are bogus, no voicemail is setup, or the phone is out of service.
Please help me stop them charging me for services not rendered. I dont want my credit score to be ruined, not do I have money for lawyers to take them to court.
