i was ordered eviction after i called city inspector to re check house to see nothing had been repaired since last year, and house has got worse. left for several days with water backing up in basement, waiting onn his plumber ... having to shop vac floors everytime used a faucet, flushed a toliet, no plumber came. landlord came with rented roter rooter and dealt with drain himself , mold began and he licked his hand wiped the wall and said oh it wash right off .. now our basement is full of mold. i have 3 girls living here and cannot use basement. not to mention repairs weve made. replacing toliet, faucet, piping, water heater, thermal cupple in boiler, and us renting our own roter rooter so we could get water back up fixed asap vs waiting days n damaging more of the walls as already had. i have pics of all the house damages, and inspectors reports. the judge however wouldnt listen to my issues, only if pertained to rent... this landlord has several properties in faribault, and this is horrible that he can collect money, and repair nothing, leave people live in these conditions ,and not seem to care. now after monday my family and i are homeless for 23 days, hoping we can afford hotel exspenses, storage fees , po box , moving costs , and food. where is there help for the tenants ? now i am ordered to pay him despite what he has left us in .. i want people to know , to be able to better protect themselves from landlords like this. plus he is now switching many places to contract for deeds, so that the city cannot get involved, and also leaves him the power to evict if you get behind on your payments. i was ordered also to pay him 3185 in back rent, although feel this is unfair also .
