Late at night in the night of Thursday february 13 2014 I texted the building manager about bed bugs I found on my bed. She apparently sent message to landlord and maintenance guy. I did not receive a call or message to let me know what was going on with this issue or what to do in regards to this. For the next few days I stayed at my parents because I was so disgusted by this issue. When I came back to my place Nothing had been done about the bed bug problem. I had to call the landlord the night of sunday February 16. He sounded surprised that maintenance had not done anything about it. He said someone would come to spray or powder the place with pesticide. Until Monday February 17th someone actually did show up to powder the place. There are other tenants in that apartment complex so my question is have those apartments been treated with pesticides too? I don't believe they have. Since then I have taken necessary precautions. I threw away my bed box spring that I had just bought since I moved into that apartment which was June 1, 2012. I had to buy a new box spring plus 2 mattress protectors, threw away my pillows, bought new pillows. Spent money on laundry detergent to wash all my clothes. Plastic airbags to keep clothes from getting contaminated again. Plastic containers to store my clean and dirty clothes. Bottles of alcohol and foggers I bought myself. My apartment was treated for bed bugs only once back in february. That was not enough. This past Monday I found more bed bugs. I called landlord spoke to a Junior. he said I should have communicated more. Well if we know bed bugs are hard to get rid of why did the landlord not order more bed bug treatments all over the apartment complex? why should I have to keep calling to get this taken care of when we know this is a problem. to get something repaired at this place takes forever. I have called before complaining about refrigerator leaking and still has not been fixed. the ceiling in the bathroom had what looked like a wet spot. Ended up being a hole which leads leads me to believe water is leaking from upstairs resulting into mold. this was somewhat fixed by maintenance guy with a "quick fix" like plaster. the laundry room is dirty with spider webs and dead bugs. It is not well kept. There has been times when I stop by my place and garbage is sitting rite outside my door (rotten apple, food wrappers, animal bones, etc.).
