COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
The nature of our complaint it: we asked the landlord Darrel and Linda Freimuth to come over 1/21/14 and inspect mold coming through the ceiling of our daughters room and sons room and that we think the roof is leaking. That we keep getting sick! We also brought to there attention that the carpet in my sons entry is warn down to floor boards and Linda Freimuth landlord told me to put rug over it. My husband cut the lock off the attic access to go up there and found most roofing sheets soaked through, water is dripping down the walls over bedrooms, MOLD is growing. we have lived here for 4years and have told them in the past that roof is leaking and my husband tried patching it with henrys tar a year ago. I also told them our electric bill last month was $401.00 and we can -not afford this that something is wrong. This is a hazard for our family and they told us 1/25/2010 that they know the roof is NOT leaking and was replaced 2009 before we moved in Oct 15, 2009 and 30lb felt was used and he knows its not leaking and said he was not having a roofer to come out to inspect, but would have PUD audit personal come out Monday 1/27/14 at 9:00am. He also stated 1/25/14 that maybe we should move because he has plans on building a house where our backyard is and also build on other side where a house was never completed in march 2014. We do not have money to move and would need moving assistance for inhabitable home. We have always paid our rent on time, except once when on vacation but paid ASAP when got home.
