Hi,
I was residing at 64 cottage street , Jersey city , NJ apt 2 for almost 6 months. When i vacated from the apartment, i have to break the lease and hence it was agreed that i would find an alternative and leave the apartment. As agreed upon, i did find an alternative and the person signed up the lease on 17th Aug 2013 and i moved out of the same day. After a week i did draft an email to claim my 1 month security deposit and 10 days rent since i did pay for the whole month of Aug rent in advance. After 4 months i got my security deposit back after multiple follow up emails and calls. But now i haven't got back my 10 days rent which they claim that the new lease was signed on 30th Aug and hence they cannot refund my 10 days rent of $600. I have a copy of current lease that says its has been signed up on 17th Aug 2013 and now i want to get back my 10 days rent of $600.
