I paid rent for May, Gave written30 Day notice Walk through with Kenny Myers and returned keys. Kenny signed off and said apartment was clean and ready to rent on May 10, 2013. I paid all rent for May and said take $160 off deposit to cover up to June 8, 2013 I moved out on May 4, 2013. John told me he was going to fire Kenny for signing the paper. Within one hour Kenny called me and said he didn't do a walk through. I have the paperwork to prove it. Horton, a tenant helps John and said there was $441 in damages. He said the samething about Apt. B &C. I walked through those apartments with Horton and did not see those damages. He was claiming $441 on all apartments. I have never left an apartment without getting my deposit back. John, Kenny and Horton have been in my place on numerous occasions. My place was and is always spotless. John lowered rent from $625 to $600 because he said I took such good care of his place. the 12 month lease was written for 13 months at $675 a month. I talked to John and Kenny and they said it was just a typo. Ignore it. I have never broken a lease. Something is going on illegally. Funny everyones damages were $441. I later learned John owns a carpet business in Gautier called carpet Mart. no wonder he replaces carpets that have no damage. He keeps deposit and writes off charges to replace carpets.He also charges for broken microwaves and kitchen cabinet doors. he has a wherehouse and that is where Horton works. Upon renting the place I called John and he said if I like the place I can move in. I did. No Application,references or background check. No walk through or move out checklist. Now I know why. John is making money illegally. Kenny did show up that evening and I gave him References and income papers. I have a file I keep and expected someone to ask for my information. I signed a lease Kenny brought by a day or two later. John didn't even know I moved until Horton entered after June 2013. I am sure John is behind Horton making these false claims. This has got to stop. I only wanted $140 but after all the trouble I am asking for my whole deposit and any other fees. John is running a scam and he has 8 units. Two quadraplexes. I really liked John and my daughter and I are hurt by the lies and deception. Horton is john's dirty worker. Kenny and john do not communicate well. I had a hard time trying to explain this situation. If you have any questions please feel free to call me. I will have to mail Documents.
