Moved into apartment on March 1, 2013. Within the first few weeks we noticed itchy red bumps. Matthew went to the doctor and was told it was hives. The bites had cleared up a bit. A week later Alison began seeing bits and itching uncontrollably. We still had no idea that is was bed bugs. On July 1, 2013 we were moving furniture and saw the infestation. We called management on July 2 she told us that she would send the bug guy today or tomorrow. She also informed us that if there is bed bugs it is a service fee of $800 .The bugs man came the same day(July2) and said there are no bed bugs when there clearly is. Landlord-Tenant Law states that landlord must maintain a habitable apartment. Bed bugs are a parasite therefore our apartment is not habitable.
