I moved into the residence on April 8, 2013, two weeks into my one year lease we have been infested with mice, spiders and now bed bugs. They had no problem having the extermiator take care of the spiders and mice, but because i signed an addendum for bed bugs, they are saying i am responsible for paying for the exterminaton of bed bugs. 1200.00 for a heat treatment. The inspector that they hired couldnt find any trace of bed bug activity on any of my property. If I didnt find the actual bug and keep it for the inspector, they would of called it a Negative inspection. He even told me that even one bug he usaully will call it a positive but he was going to call it negative because he couldnt find any other traces. right before the inspector left, he found some dirt on the baseboard, and said he is calling it droppings to make a positive inspection along with the bug i provided him with. My point is that if i brought them into the apartment they would have been on my bed or furniture, he even agreed with that. i find it hard to believe that I brought bed bugs, spider and mice within 2 weeks of being there. Today i spoke with Dawn, she said the infestation is so small, that they are not even going to have the apartments attached to mine inspected. I feel this isnt fair that they wont even check to see if another resident passed them to me. I am cooperating, i just dont want to pay for this extermintation. as it is, i will have to buy a new mattress, so another 1200.00 is totally unfair. thanks for your time
