COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
This complaint is being made to the Reserve of Jackson and Heritage Properties and all other entities for breach of lease agreement, breach of agreement to release from lease, and refusal to return security deposit of $250. The Reserve of Jackson breached the lease agreement by discontinuing cable and internet services a day after the lease was signed. The Reserve of Jackson did not adjust the rent for the services that was removed from the lease contract. The Reserve of Jackson agreed to release me from the lease contract without any further obligations, but later did not uphold that agreement. I was required to pay extra rent for days after my original move out date. The Reserve of Jackson failed to give me an accounting statement of charges on my rental account which inlcuded the water bill and rent after I repeatedly requested this from their main office. Upon move out, I was told by the office attendant that everything for my account and move out was taken care of. I called the Reserve of Jackson and corporate numerous times to get an explanation as to why my security deposit was not returned to me. I got two call backs from corporate that said they would review the file and get back to me. I never heard from anyone afterwards, and repeatedly left messages for a call back. I received a forwarded letter on April 8, 2013 stating that I owe the apartment complex an outstanding fee of $1,841.27, which i do not feel I owe.
