I don't have pictures of under the kitchen sink but it is definitley there. The wood is cave in because of it. These pictures are of the bookshelf we had to throw away and also mold that had grown on a pair of my shoes.

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Our apartment flooded in January when on vacation. A pipe broke and the upstairs toilette flooded. We turn off the heat not knowing not to do that. We admitted we were in the wrong for that but then when we told our landlord about it, he brought us one fan for our two story townhouse, didn't pull up the carpet to let it dry or check for mold, didn't want to shampoo them eventhough they had turned yellow, and took three weeks to resolve the issue. We had told him we were worried about mold but he chose to not take action. We even offered to help pay repairs after. He told us not to worry about it but then took out 275 dollars for repairs 5 months later when we got our deposit back. When we were moving out we had to throw away a bookshelf that mold had rotted and had mold on shoes in the closet. Not only do I think it's growing under the carpet but right after we moved in, I noticed mold under the kitchen sink that was falling onto the tile but he said it was dead mold and was harmless. I have written him a letter letting him know of my intent to report him but did not seemed concered about the issue based on his reply.

Renter Aug 27, 2011 174.27.107.18 THe mold under the kitchen sink was there when we moved in in May 2010 and we made our landlord aware of it, that is when he said it was not living so it wouldn't hurt us. Also we were gone on vacation from December 27th to Jan. 8th and here is a link to what the temperature were at that time. http://www.accuweather.com/us/id/pocatello/83201/forecast-month.asp?mnyr=12-01-2010. We admitted we shouldn't have turned off the heat but at no point did he ever inform us not to do so and had never been told that before. We offered to help pay for some of the damages at that time and he said not to worry about it. He should have had insurance on his rental properties to cover things like this and take care of them.
