Terminated Resident Manager

By

I was a tenant in the the building for 8 years prior to becoming the resident manager less than a year ago.In order to be the resident manager, the landlord required me to transfer to a different unit. And now the new landlord has decided to evict me. Am I entitled to 30/60 days notice to quit/vacate or is he required to only give me a 3 day notice to vacate? Im in California.

Did you signed a lease before you moved in to another unit? You still continue to pay your rent? If you did then you are entitled to receive a 30/60 days written notice to vacate the rental unit with a valid reason sent via certified mail. If you were not served with a written notice then you have all the right to file a complaint against your landlord.
