Resalable repair

By James Ford

I moved in to an apartment back in September of 2010 after two months i had zero problems with the landlord. I paid my rent on time and even two weeks in advance. but in early November my heat went out. I informed my landlord of the problem and it was fixed with in a days time. Then again in December 9th my heat went out again, i didn’t get heat back for a week. Then on December 18th my heat was out yet again. I called the Landlord said they be up this afternoon. Never showed. Not until this morning. It took them 30mins to fix and i spent the 2 nights in the cold because they didn’t want to work.

In my lease it states, Management promises to keep the apartment in reasonable repair and make necessary repairs within areasonable time after notification by the Resident.
Is in just me your has me lease been broken due to the long wait for a simple fix?

A pretty messed up heat huh? I’m quite surprised you haven’t filed a complaint yet. You must have been too patient. It’s ground of such breach of contract. Trying filing a complaint with RPA they’ll be able to help out.
