rent charge
By tish taylor
I am renting for a subsidized housing cooperative. I was told by my landlord that I do not qualify for section 8. I have a two-bedroom basement apartment. My two children and I live here. My rent is $491.00 including water and heat. I pay for electricity. How do I find out whether or not I qualify for section 8. Is there a chart that be found on the internet that shows the calculations of what I should pay for rent?
