Pet Patio Door Question

By Renna

I have two dogs and a balcony. One of my dogs loves to lay in the sunshine on the balcony. I have had a pet patio door for
10 years in another state and moved into this apartment last month. The door does not damage any part of the screen or sliding glass door. It just slides into the screen track and provides a tight seal against the door jamb and the screen door fits tight against it. It is the same height as the doorway.

My queston is, since it doesn’t damage or change the doorway, can my apartment property manager demand I take it out as some other residents have said? My dogs are not barkers nor do they bother the tenants downstairs. The door is a convenience for both the dogs and myself.
