My unit is being sold.

By Mike

I currently rent a condo from private owners in San Diego, CA. I lived here for a year and then extended my lease in November for another year, so I still have 11 months left on the lease. Today I was informed that the owners want to sell the condo, and that, per the lease, they can evict me as early as 60 days after they announce their intentions. this is bad news for me as I really want to stay here for as long as possible, if not for the full 11 months or longer. My parents might consider buying the place, as well. What are my rights? What can I do?

Mike,

My opinion is that landlord had already provided you sufficient amount of time for making the space eviction. Why don’t speak with landlord for buying the same, As he is ready to do so also tell him that you were agreed for another 1 year but now what make the difference.
