land lord problems.

OK so heres the deal, me, my fience, and our small pooch moved in to a small bedroom with its own entrance. the landlady lived upstairs and we lived down stairs. out side is red dirt all over the place and the room has white carpet…so obviosly you can guess what happened. So the only paperwork we have AT ALL for our rental is a recipt for the 1275$ security deposit saying "-200 for cleaning fees due to pet for:shampoo carpet, inside/outside, bathroom". this was signed by her.

so now shes trying to charge us for all sorts of lil things…biggest being replacing the carpet. smallest is hiring a powerwasher to wash down the fence next to where our dog poo’d. she is saying that even though we agreed to 200 in cleaning fees that it doesnt matter and shell charge us for as much as it costs her to clean everything.

we did not sign a lease…renting month to month…only 1 recipt for deposit saying -200 for cleaning.

we moved out but are holding the keys untill the return of our deposit…and she is claiming that she will charge us rent for holding the keys.

HELP!!!!!!
