Can Landlord leave us without utilities?

By John Young

We have been at our rental unit almost 2 years, are up to date with rent and no problems until now. We are month to month tenants with utilities included. My 55 yr old wife suffers from a painful medical condition that requires our heat set at 73-75f winters because the cold exacerbates her illness. Yesterday our landlord sent us an email stating in June he will no longer pay the utilities. I cannot afford to pay them at all earning what I do I barely make the rent monthly. With our having a written month to month lease can he have the utilities taken out of his name leaving us with none? We live in New Hampshire. We have had no problem and always paid rent on time. We already started turning the heat down to 65f as he has asked but my wife is already in bed ill our 2nd day of this temperature change.
