Ive been living at this apartment complex for 4 years . And there has been 2 attempted burgarly at my apartment . one as recently as last week . a week prior, I was dued for an inspection at my unit on the 29 th of May , 2012 . When my rental company send two known thieves who was caught red-handed stealing a tenants weight set. A week later , I came home to find that Someone tried to come through my bathroom window .and after investigating the window . I noticed that the part of the window that stop the window from going all the way up was laying on the ledge and a second identical part was found in the boiler room where no one has access to ..but management . So I call the realestate to complain and to tell them that I think that one of their workers try to break into my apartment and why I thought that they did it |

First apartment and three weeks into lease. Before I signed lease, I asked about the neighbors in the building, any issues that sales office rep needed to disclose to me because I have a 19 month baby with me. Was told all nice families. No issues, apartment recently one of the rennovated units. Turns out that the entrance to my building is the local hang out for every young child to pre-teen kid in the complex. THey hang on steps with doors open (door is to be code-entry/secure), they leave trash all over steps, don’t move when I or my family/friends try to pass. Even worse, there is a mice problem that I foudn out from neighbors on the floor that previous neighbors had. Building maintenance was sent to set up traps, so far two have been caught. I have A BABY … what are my legal rights to get out of this lease? Again, been in three weeks, paid first month in advance with next month rent due in 13 days. I am disgusted, can’t sleep at night… have seen the critters run by while watching TV! |
