Unfair Credit Rental Practices after Economic downturn

I do not know were to start, But here we go. I have lived in a home for more then 15 years and in business for over 13. I have lived fairly well for that time until in 2008 the economy dipped and I was struggling for a good five years. Now that I am recovering in which at this time I lost my home, My credit, and doing my best to catch up with my back taxes. I am just dumbfounded with the requirements of the rental community.
great credit scores. How can we really allow the credit report scores govern rental community agreements of any form?
