Problem with landlord

I had a question so one of my neighbors said we had a dog in our apartment for two nights and we have an agreement saying we won’t have animals but the landlord believed them and we came home to a comply or vacate in 10 days even though we never have had animals in our apartment can she evict us on somebody’s word of mouth no proof?

Problem with landlord

I am renting a house and the landlord is trying to force me out. The air conditioning unit was stolen May 16th, which is the same day that we argued about me moving right away. I was suppose to move in March 1st but I found out on Feb 28th that code enforcement had to inspect the house because it had been vacant for over a year. The lights were turned on March 7th, but the gas wasn’t connected until April 23rd due to problems that had to be fixed by the landlord before they would connect the gas. He wanted me to pay rent for April but I wasn’t even living in the house because there was no gas or hot water which made the house not livable not to mention I have an 8 year old daughter and it was still cold outside. He took me to small claims court last month trying to evict me for the air conditioning unit being stolen and the mail box, which was ran over by a fighting couple riding down the street. The judge ruled in my favor. So now he’s trying to evict me for unpaid rent, which I have receipts for, and I am not sure what he’s doing with the money orders. What do I do?

I live in a back house in California for 6 yrs  when I moved in water and electricity were included in the winter time I need to use electric heaterthe landlord she charges an extra 50.00 can she do this and is there suppose to be a heater in the house by law what should I do

Problem with landlord

I have four pages of documentation concerning this landlord’s behavior.  I have sought help from local law enforcement, a tenant attorney and local housing authority to no avail.

I will not mention everything for obvious reasons.  I have asked this landlord three times to address a mold problem in the bathroom I use.  She continues to ignore my request.  I have tried to address this problem myself, yet I was unable to remove the mold.  I think there might be a leak underneath the floor.  I noticed this problem when I moved in.  I was optimistic that she would make repairs when I called it to her attention.  Apparently not.
I asked for a lock on the bedroom door; however, the homeowner/landlord would not allow it because it is a custom built house.  I acquiesced with the hope that she would honor my privacy.  She has another home outside of the country where she stays most of the year, so she is not around at least eight months out of the year.  Unfortunately, she is proving to be mentally unstable.  Every time she has been home, I have noticed damage to my things and items missing from the room I rent.  I have strived to be a good tenant.  I keep the house immaculate, I water her plants, clean up her garden/yards and I get her mail for her.  One day, I came home and noticed that my locking file cabinet had been tampered with.  I could not unlock it and there were scratches as if someone had tried to get into the file by the edge of the drawer as well.  The file cabinet did not have any scratches on it before.  I put a camera on the night table and it caught her in the room while I was at work a few days after this incident.  She has a rental contract that states that she cannot enter the room unless she gives at least 24 hours notice for a repair or if there is an emergency.  Neither occurred, so she definitely violated the contract.  I have lost a printer, an iron, an ice pack, printing paper and envelopes.  All of these things for which I never had problems all of a sudden didn’t work or were broken in some way while she was home.  She puts things in front of the front and garage doors creating tripping hazards.  I have called this to her attention and she still continues to put things in the way.  She leaves a mess every time she comes home and leaves.   At one point, she expected me to clean her dishes and I refused.  She was very nasty to me as a result.  
She has lowered my rent and the fact that she is not home most of the time are the only reasons I have stayed as long as I have.  I talked to her son who told me that she has a hard time empathizing and that she doesn’t understand boundaries.  This is true most of the time; however, she has shown that she is quite capable and cognizant of other’s boundaries.  I don’t know if her erratic behavior is due to some sort of organic brain dysfunction, alcohol and drug consumption or past abuse.  At this point I really don’t care, I want to know where I can go for accountability.  I don’t care about money, I want her to be held accountable for her behavior.  As of yet, I have not been able to find any help.

problem with landlord

I am a tent at a apartment complex my landlord is all ways in sombody business the problem im having is she told another tent how much rent i pay each month,she is always threating to put me out for no unknow reasonand i have had enough along with other tents what do i need to do?  Isn’t that a breach of privacy for the landlord to share information about me with other tenants?  I have some major problem with landlord.  I don’t like how the manager is dealing with things around here!

If you are renting from a large complex you should be able to contact your landlord’s boss. Try calling them about the problem and see if they can stop the problem. If you still aren’t able to fix the problem by contacting your landlord’s boss, the next step would be to file an apartment complaint via the RPA. You can click on the “File Complaint” link found at the top of this page.
P.S. If this is a problem that a lot of renters are dealing with, you should get together with them and file a complaint together. There is power in numbers.
