just got served foreclosure papers

By Walter

I live in Florida and I am curious what my rights are in a foreclosure as a tenant. I just got served papers for the owner of the house I rent. When I asked the owner, he tried to tell me that the house is not in foreclosure. I would like to move as soon as possible because he is a cheapskate that doesn’t like to fix things that break. My lease doesn’t expire until August.

Hi! As long as you have a signed lease agreement, then you have all the right to stay until you lease is up. Now You can always file for a complaint with mediation agencies like the RPA.
