Landlords divorcing

I moved into a house in October 2012. I started a 6-month lease with the wife. Which is up April 1st. I just recieved a letter from the husband (from jail) that I am to pay him rent from now on. I don’t know what thier situation is. I dont know if it is amicable. I don’t know if I should say anything to her, I worry about starting something. And in turn getting evicted. What should I do? To keep my house and the peace.
