There are a lot of ways to pay your rent. Depending on the mode of payment stated in the lease agreement you signed, you and your landlord can agree on the payment method that you are most comfortable with.

Here are some other ways you can use to pay your monthly rent:

• Manager’s check. MC’s are as good as cash. For a certain fee, you can buy them from your bank for a certain amount. They clear faster than ordinary checks.
• Cash. If your landlord decides not to accept any checks for payment for rent then you can always pay in cash, right?
• Post Dated Check. Some real estate property managers allow you to pay several months of post-dated checks that can be deposited on the day you pay your rent per month. This is a good way to go for you since you don’t have to remember paying the rent. Just keep your bank account loaded.
• Bank’s bill pay. If your landlord agrees, you can add him to your monthly bills payment that your bank does for you as a service. This way, your landlord gets payments every month deposited directly into his account.
• Credit Card. Some property management companies accept payment through your credit card.

But what if your landlord suddenly decided that he no longer wants to accept checks made from a certain bank like Wells Fargo, what can a tenant do? Most probably, if your landlord decides to stop accepting checks from a specific bank; it maybe because he had a minor dispute with this bank that made him an unsatisfied customer. Still that doesn’t mean that you have to do a drastic move like move out and change apartments, they are still so many ways for you to pay your rent without having to change apartments and landlords as mentioned above.
