Amenities(Dish washer not in proper condition)

By Sam

The dishwasher is not in proper condition when we moved in. I tried to complain it to them. They called the maintainence they tried to replace something but it was not working as expected. I complained again but orally I asked them and they called me back same day that they would replace with a new one and asked few days of time such as four days for ordering and gave us appointment (this is all just ont he phone) by telling certain date.   When I called them ont hat particular date becuase they still did not come they said they did not say that they will order a new one and they said they would only said they would create a work order. Is there anything that I can do in this.

Thank you.

Well, that’s the downside of verbal agreements – somebody could just “forget” what they said. Repairing the dishwasher is basically your landlord’s responsibility since that’s included in the rental. So as long as they don’t charge you for the repair, they can go on trying to fix it numerous times, wasting good money until they realize that it’s better to buy a new one. For the meantime, you can just wash the dishes manually. But if you don’t want to wash the dishes while waiting for your landlord to come to his senses, you can just file a complaint.
