APT COMPLEX WONT PAY FOR EXTERMINATION

I CONTACTED MY LANDLORD YESTERDAY TO LET HER KNOW SOMETHING IN MY APARTMENT WAS BITING ME.  MY ARMS ARE TOTALLY MARKED UP.  SHE SAID SHE WOULD SEND A PEST CONTROL OUT TO SEE IF IT’S BEDBUGS.  WHAT I DIDNT TELL HER IS THAT I KNEW SOME OF THE UNITS HAD BED BUGS.  THE PEST CONTROL MAN CAME OUT AND CONFIRMED IT WAS BEDBUGS AND SHE TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY FOR IT APPROX 250.00 FOR THEM TO COME 2 TIMES.  SHE SAID I COULD PAY THE APARTMENTS IN 2 PAYMENTS.  SO AT THIS POINT I MENTION TO HER I SAW BUGS COMING FROM THE VENT IN THE RESTROOM AND SHE SAID NOWAY THOSE BUGS WERE BEDBUGS, I ALSO MENTION TO HER I WAS TOLD THAT THE APARTMENT UNITS HAD BEDBUGS AND SHE SAID IT WASNT MY UNIT AND NOW SHE HAS TO CHECK ALL THE APARTMENTS IN MY UNIT LIKE IT’S MY FAULT.  I AM ON A MONTH TO MONTH LEASE, SHE IS A CRAZY LANDLORD AND I KNOW IF I DONT PAY SHE WILL EVICT ME.  IS THIS LEGAL FOR HER TO CHARGE ME OR SHOULD THE APARTMENT BE LIABLE FOR THE EXTERMINATION, I HAVE LIVED THERE OVER 3 YEARS.  WHAT CAN I DO?

I’m going through the same situation right now. My landlord moves me into this apartnent n didn’t tell me thelady that previously lived here was infested. Now I had to deal with this issue for a year. N he’s telling me I have to pafor the extermination. I can’t afford a lawyer byt it seems to me they landlord and tenant act. By not making a. Cinceire attempt to arradicate the bugs. And there’s 16 apartments in this unit, so other tenants must have them. I called several local n state agencies but I cant seem to find any help.
