Forced Job Transfer
By Kim Kelley
We just signed a lease for our apartment 3 months ago. My husband received a forced transfer from his employer 2 weeks ago to a town 3 1/2 hours away. This is a 3 year to permanent move. I would like to break my lease so that my son and I can move as well. Is there a law in Indiana that protects us as renters in a situation such as this so that we are not penalized due to the forced transfer?
