Hey there! Didn’t you know that we have rights for minor repairs, that means it is one of our landlord’s responsibility to fix everything that makes our stay inconvenient. These aren’t huge problems for us to decide moving out, but you don’t just have to live with them right? First thing you can do is to approach your landlord verbally, and I suppose you have done that already. Next thing to do is to write a repair request, this will give you a chance to relate clearly what the issue really is. Articulate the problem clearly and point out why it’s necessary for the landlord to fix it right away. This letter will allow him to think it over without having to give you an immediate response. If this doesn’t work, you need to move forward by reporting your landlord to your local building or housing agency. They may be able to take action against your landlord. The least thing you want to do is to sue him if the third step will not work. Good luck on taking every step. Hope this helps.
