Evicted without warning because of dog!!!

I recently moved into an apartment by myself. The pet deposit for this apt is about $1200.00, which is extremely out of my budget so my dog lives with my mother. Yesterday i had to take my dog to the vet (which is right next to my apt.)  My mother brought my dog to me, we went to the vet, and then returned to my apt to wait for my mother to come back and get the dog. My dog was at my apt for approx. 2 hrs. The apt manager saw me with the dog during that time.  When my mother came toget the dog i left with her a while and when i returned a notice was on my door that i was in violation of my lease and must vacate premises in 24 hr.  I just paid rent yesterday!! how is this fair? i explained to the manager that the dog didnt reside with me but she refused to hear me out! please help!

Yeah a dog can get you in trouble really. There are leases that would endure a landlord action such as this. Some requires you to inform your landlord that a pet will stay for a certain amount of time. It’s best to talk to your landlord about it. Maybe he’s/she’s not just happy bringing in a pet without him/her knowing it. But in terms of the notice try to check on your lease if there’s such article that you conformed to it and for more help check out the RPA site and file a complaint.http://www.rentalprotectionagency.com/complaint_center.php
