Can I get reimbursed by the landlord for mold damage to my personal property?

My family and I have been renting a single family home for almost 5 years. Two years ago we had mold problems throughout the house caused by excessive moisture and the property manager and landlord had extensive repairs done on the outside of the house thinking that the source of the moisture was coming from the property next door. We did not have any real issues with mold last year during the wintertime so we presumed that the problem had been resolved, however this winter with all of the consistent rain that we experienced, the mold has come back ten-fold. The property manager and landlord came out to inspect the property and determined that the previous repairs were not adequate and in some areas incomplete and that there were multiple reasons for the excessive moisture inside the house related to the incomplete work. The mold not only grew on the back of dressers and nightstands, but is now inside of all of our mattresses and box springs and our sofa. My question is this: is the landlord liable for replacing our damaged furniture and personal belongings? It’s been acknowledged by the property manager that the previous repairs on the exterior were unfinished and that there are other changes regarding the house itself that need to be made to eliminate the moisture problem inside. Since the problem had been previously been addressed but not followed through, are we entitled to get reimbursed for our losses? Would we be entitled to replacement costs or depreciated value? We don’t have renters insurance……..Lisa
