How much am I responsible for after 15 years of renting regarding the carpet?

Hi Donna! When it comes to carpet replacement as a tenant, you are only required to pay the pro-rated amount of what is left on the carpet’s life expectancy that is if the damages made on the carpet is beyond normal wear and tear. Your landlord must provide you a complete list of all the charges on the carpet and a copy of the receipts of the charges and must provide it within 30 days after the move out date. If your landlord failed to do so then you can file a complaint against your landlord. You can either file your complaint through your local county or through the RPA. Good luck! |
