Roach Infestation, What power do we have?

My roommate and I have been living in an apartment complex for a year now. We just switched into a different building in the same property that had upgraded appliances, etc. We found bugs in the bathroom area the night we were given the keys. In the morning we called the apartment manager and informed them. They said they’re "fumigators" wouldn’t be coming until Thursday but that on thursday the place would be fogged. On Friday afternoon we could start moving in. Not only did this cause us moving problems with boxes and getting help from friends and family, BUT…now that we’ve moved in, we’ve found tons of roaches. In a day and a half we’ve found and killed around 50. We want to know what we can do, what the landlord should be doing, and what our rights are as far is recieving fair and acceptable compensation for the stress, hassle, and honestly, trauma.

IS INFESTED WITH ROACH

vulneruable and angry daily

i have been here for about a little over two years the roach infestation is bad there in my room ,in my kitchen in my front room and i just dont know what to do the manager has fumagTED ONLY WITH POWDER WHICH SHE HAS DONE LIKE 4 TIMES IN THESE PAST TWO YEARS I KEEP COMPLAINING AND SHE JUST RECENTLY SAID IN DECEMBER OF 2011 THAT THEYVE TALK TO PWNER OF THESE 50 APTS COMPLEX AND WED HAVE TO WAIT TILL MARCH OF 2012 TILL SUPPOSEDLY REAL BOMBS WOULD BE PLACED IN HOME I ASKED IF SHE CAN BUY ME SOME ROACH SPRAY TO KEEP THEM AWAY UNTIL THEN SHE SAID SHED BRING ME SOME STUFF BUT NEVER DID I HAVE MY WIFE AND SMALL CHILD LIVIVG HERE AND IVE CONTACTED THE HEALTH DEP THEYVE SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT THE OWNER UPON WHICH AT THAT TIME HE CALLED SOME EXTERMINATOR THAT PUTS THE POWDER WHICH JUST MUST BE FOOD FOR THE ROACHES BECUASE THEY JUST CAME BACK 2 DAYS LATER IN STRONGER NUMBERS AND VARIOUS PLACES I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO CAN I HOLD THE RENT AND TAKE THEM TO COURT
