We have asbestos problem! WANT TO BREAK YEAR LEASE

Someone wants to move out. Have you try checking out your lease? In normal lease cases the premise has to be deemed inhabitable for it to be a ground for termination. A landlord or a tenant can either send the notification. I suggest to contact your landlord and let him/her know about it. If it’s a breach or a threat to your health and safety it should be the landlords priority to fix it.

Just went through some stuff here at RPA and i found out that you can actually rate your landlord and it will hold like a public record out of him or you need further help on that file a complaint and let an agent handle it.

Speak with your landlord. Ask if he has any plans to alleviate risks around asbestos. Suggest breaking the lease if he can’t make reasonable accomodations, and see what he says. Keep full documentation of any conversations you have and when, as this will come in handy (legally) if conversations get more serious.
