i just recieved a 3 day notice!

my husband and i have been renting from the present landlord for the past 5 years! about a month ago she called and asked me when i would be home because her realestate agent was going to come and take pictures of the home! when i asked her what the reason was she just said that she was trying to modify her home loan! for some reason this did not sit well with me so i did my own investigation! come to find out the house that i am living in is posted on the internet as a short sale! she was delinquent on her home loan and the house was in the pre forclosre stage! i imediatly called her and queation her she tryed to reasure me that she was all up to date on her mortgage and this was not true! i began to read her the documentation that i had on hand and she then put her husband on the phone! so i basically told them that now i have to relocate my family and that i need to save money to move…we agreed that half of the rent would be fair! the following month they accepted half of the rent then the month after she wanted me to pay the full amount again! i don’t have our aggrement in writing but in a text message! i was not okay with this so now i am 7 days late on my rent and was served with a 3 day notice! my husband and i are now in the process of trying to buy our own house but need a  couple of monthes! the landlords real estate agent explained to me that as of nov 1st there will be new homeowners but when i called the county recorders office there hasent been any changes! what should i do????
