Renting during a short sale good/bad idea?

By Michelle

I am currently living in a house that the landlords have decided to short sale the home. Our lease is up at the end of November and the landlords have asked if we wanted to stay on a month to month bases. Should we stay on a month to month with the landlords? and where is our rent money going if we do decided to stay on a month to month? Can I withhold the rent?I am currently speaking to a loan company to purchase a new home or possibly this one depending on the price they are asking for. I am hearing so many things on what to do with my rent while I stay here I am very confused on this matter. I forgot to mention our AC unit has been out for two months and the landlords seem to be giving us the run around on the fixing of it. The cost will be quite expensive on this and the landlords have stated to us they are done with this whole house matter. I would appreciate a direction in which would best help me out. thank you.

I’d file a complaint with the RPA to get help with the AC. That’s not right.
