the Landlord wants to charge me tax….and we are a church and tax excemt.

We are getting ready to leace a commercial building for our church and the leasor has never rented to a non-profit organization and I’m trying to explain that we are excempt from Tax and he is real nerveous about not charging sales tax… what resources can I give him on how to not charge sales tax to a non-profit organization?
