Repairs & Animal Removal.

This year has become the worse renting experience of our lives. 1st our apartment started leaking in to the carpeted hallway, which maintenc edid fix the problem immediately. Then came the snake, yes a snake. And we were promised a full refund from the complex (a 200 dollar refferal instead of just paying us)  because we had to  call in outside re-enforcements due to the lack of pest control apprehenders in the area. WE HAVEN"T SEEN 1 DIME OF THE MONEY RETURNED YET. Come to find out the only reason why there was a snake was due to rat droppings that was left behind by the rats that were killed in the apt prior to us moving in. (Something else that was not told to us until the pestcontrol worker let us in on it. Not to mention that the pipes all over this neighbor hood have been popping left and right. The only reason why we moved in was because we were told that these apt were refurbished, and remolded, and fixed up. Are we able to get compenstation for the snake? Its gonna cost a arm & a leg to get the rat dropping removed, so are we liable for that ?  I need some good advice because I am on the fence about gettting a lawyer.
