PROBLEM WITH LANDLORD NOT DOING REPAIRS

I LIVE IN SAN JOSE, CA I AM RENTING A FOUR BEDROOM HOUSE ON A MONTH TO MONTH LEASE. SINCE MOVING IN I HAVE HAD A MINOR LEAK IN ROOF. BUT THIS SEASON IT IS LEAKING MORE THAN EVER. REPORTED THE LEAK AND THE HEAT NOT WORKING TO LANDLORD IN MID NOVEMBER 2010. HE SAID HE WOULD BE IN CONTACT WITH ME. HE HAS NEVER CALLED OR CAME BY. WHAT CAN I DO?

The best course of action for this one if to file a complaint immediately through RPA so it can be resolved in no time. You may prepare a copy of your lease so that you have evidence that your landlord is not doing his responsibilities. If you are paying him monthly rent, you can also with hold it until he or she contacts you and do the necessary repairs.
