how can i get out of my lease without the exorbitant fees?

i left a well-paying job shortly after signing a year long lease on my apartmtent.  my new job is more gratifying but doesn’t allow me to continue paying high rent.  i want out but i’m told i will have to pay the equivalent of three months rent.  is there any way around this?

We moved into a house on June 20th 2012, have since found out we were scammed, our check has been cashed, no lease or renters agreement has been produced. We have also found out the house is set to go to auction on July 2nd 2012. What do we do now?

If a tenant has leased from a landlord for a year in Texas and upon the expiration of that lease the landlord then says that rent will be increased, can the landlord legally do this without giving tenant any advanced written notification that rent will be increased?
