No Hot Water

By tricia

I live in Bountiful utah.

The apartment we live in recently lost hot water due to the hot water heater being out.
The corporate office for the apartments I live in are refusing a new one even though we have now gone 5 days without hot water. How long in the state of Utah can the landlord go without fixing/replacing our water heater?

No Hot Water

By Tenant

I’ve been living in a rented house for four months now.  At the end of Jan. the hot water tank broke and is still not fixed. I paid my rent for Feb and I have the check for March but have not sent it yet.  Not having hot water has made me stay with a friend so I can take my morning shower, I decided to gove my 30 day move out notice on the 15 of Jan sue to the terrible responce time…  My question is- Should I pay the partial rent for this month? And do I have the right to get last months back?  I’m afraid if I fight them I wont get my security deposit back and it will have been for nothing.
