never received refundable deposit
By frustrated
I moved out of my old rental place about three months ago. I met with my landlord after I moved out to talk about the deposit and he said I would receive a full refund and he also told both my roommate and I that we would receive a pro-rated amount for the last month since we moved out halfway through the month. At this time he said he would call to get my new address to send the check. I never heard from him. I have called and left numerous messages and he will not call me back! I’m not sure what the next step is. He owes me about $680 all together. Would this be something for small claims court or is there another route to take?
