Landlords expects payment for water bill

I am renting a freestanding house in Mississippi. My landlord expects me to pay a water bill but is not ready to provide me  the bill or even a copy. I have no problem to pay water bill  but told him that I want a copy. He said I have no right to a copy and now has given me 30 days to move out. Am I entitled to a copy? Am I obligated to pay it when its not in my name and not in the lease? Can he evict me for this? Am I entitled to my deposit back?

Is there any law regarding water right in Mississippi?

If its not written in your agreement then it is understandable that your landlord will take care of that.

Yes definitely you are entitles for the copy of a bill that you paid.

As to the water bill, utilities including water are usually the tenant’s responsibility unless the lease says otherwise, but you could check to see if there are any local laws making the landlord responsible.
